Veil of Corruption Chapter 1:

We strongly recommend to download the movie from one of the sources shown left. We also have streaming versions on Filefront and Vimeo but you know for yourself, that streamings are not able to show the best quality.

We made two different versions of the film.

One with english subtitles for the internatinonal community and one without subs for those who are familiar with the german language.

Both versions are available in "normal quality" (about 1GB size) and "high quality" (about 2 GB size).
For all download versions you need the latest release of XVid-Codec.
The Vimeo Stream is divided in two parts (cause of the upload limit on Vimeo) and contains subtitles in English.

The download versions are in NTSC format at 29 FPS and a resolution of 720x480 (widescreen).

Within the the vicissitudes of war that controled Azeroth for years the Alliance Grand Marshal - Paladin Valerius - goes on pilgrimage to the tomb of Uther Lightbringer.
Tired of killing he wants to bring the war to an end searching answeres in his prayers.
Suddenly the events start happening very fast and peace seems to be in his grasp.

But will there be a chance for permanent peace?


This is the first part of our trilogy Veil of Corruption, introducing the main charakters, their goals and the leading storyline.
Unlike the most fantasy films our movie does not tell a story of heroes who deliver the world of evil. On the contrary the focus of VoC is politicts and connivery, something that might seem a little familiar to our world and time.
Nevertheless we are guys (and girls of course) who love pathos in movies so this aspect doesn't come off badly.
Futher the movie contains some basic elemnts of a drama like love, death and of course some epic fighting.

The movie was recorded at "Der Rat von Dalaran (EU)" within the last one and a half years. Most of the scenes contain footage recorded ingame on live servers (some on ps), especially the action scenes and most of the special effects were a mix between live footage and modelviewer recordings.

Voice acting and subtitles:

The voice acting is complete in German language. That was one of our first dscisions when we started this project one and a half years ago.

There were several reason to do so.

First: We are all German native speakers, so doing voice acting in our native language seemed to be obvious.
Second: There is no WoW-machinima with German voice acting at the moment and we wanted to do something new.
Third: Making a movie with Germans doing English voice acting would have sounded strange to those who speak English as native language.

To the most of you it seems common doing a storyline machinima with English voice acting. All great movies of the last years were English to bring them close to the international machinima community.
Some of you will say that it's not acceptable to listen to German voices and read English subs. We know that this could be a reason for downrating or even not watching the movie and we respect your decison.

On the other side just try to consider the movie as something exotic or even something new ;)

We took great plains to translate the subs in English, so please be patiant with small faults.

At this point we like to underline the hard translation work of Ludvera, Garrett, Torfd�n and Largetni.

At least we hope you enjoy watching the movie as well as we did in making it.

Veil of Corruption Kapitel 1

Es ist soweit. Einigen von Euch wird Veil of Corruption vielleicht schon ein Begriff sein (wir haben uns bem�ht reichlich Werbung zu machen), anderen nicht.

Knapp anderhalb Jahre nach den ersten Planungen ver�ffentlichen wir nun den ersten Teil unserer Trilogie "Veil of Corruption".

Wir empfehlen Euch den Film runter zu laden, da die Streaming-Qualit�t, weit unter der Qualit�t der Download-Versionen liegt.

Es gibt einen Download mit guter und einen mit hoher Qualit�t (siehe links oben). Beide Versionen gibt es sowohl mit als auch ohne englische Untertitel.

Die Streaming Version auf Vimeo ist mit Untertiteln versehen, Ihr k�nnt aber die Version ohne Untertitel auch auf Filefront streamen lassen. Die Wahl liegt bei Euch.

F�r Rapidshare-Premium-Users gibt es ausserdem eine schnelle Downloadm�glichkeit der HQ-Version an dieser Stelle.

Mitten in den Wirren eines Krieges, der Azeroth nun schon seit Jahren eisern umschlungen h�lt, begibt sich der Gro�marschall der Allianz � Paladin Valerius � auf eine Pilgerfahrt zum Grab Uther Lichtbringers.

Des T�tens m�de sucht er im Gebet nach M�glichkeiten, dem Krieg ein Ende zu bereiten, als sich die Ereignisse pl�tzlich zu �berschlagen beginnen.

Der Friede scheint zum Greifen nahe ...
... doch wird er von Dauer sein?

Der erste Teil der Trilogie f�hrt in die Geschichte ein und stellt die Hauptcharaktere und ihre Ziele vor. In Veil of Corruption geht es nicht wie in anderen Fantasy Filmen darum, dass Helden die Welt vor dem B�sen retten.
Vielmehr liegt unser Fokus auf Politik und Intrige. Trotzdem werden klassische Drama-Elemente wie Liebe, Tod und auch Pathos nicht zu knapp kommen.

Der Film wurde in den letzten anderhalb Jahren auf dem Server "Der Rat von Dalaran (EU)" aufgenommen. �berwiegend besteht er aus Live-Aufnahmen, aber gerade im Bereich Special Effects und Kampfszenen wurde eine Mischung aus Modelviewer Szenen und Live Aufnahmen.

Der Film ist komplett mit deutscher Sprachausgabe. Dies ist mit Sicherheit etwas Neues vielleicht auch etwas Besonderes, da es bis dato kein rein deutschsprachiges Storyline-Machinima gab.

Gerade aus diesen Gr�nden haben wir den Schritt gewagt und uns auf unsere Muttersprache konzentriert. Wir hoffen dennoch, dass die Version mit Untertiteln auch der internationalen Machinima-Community gefallen wird.

Wir w�nschen Euch viel Spass mit "Veil of Corruption" und hoffen dass Ihr beim Ansehen genauso viel Spass habt, wie wir beim Erstellen des Films.
