On the PvP beta realms there are a lot of players trying to level up and try out the new instances. While I enjoy doing that, I found myself enjoying most the time spent exploring the next era of PvP. After having some fun with the battlegrounds, and releasing a short video of that, I decided I wanted to make another video. I began doing world PvP in some of the new world PvP locations, using a lot of different specs, but I found there was really only one other player I was running into consistantly.

I frequently ran into the Paladin "Dead" in group vs. group combat and generally had a lot of fun with it. Partly due to our level/gear advantage, it generally felt like it was his team against mine when we had our skirmishes, and I really liked them.

I decided to get in touch with him and stage some duels. I Frapsed most of them and thought they turned out pretty interesting, so I'm making this video first.

I hope you like it, I spent a lot of time editing it, as opposed to my other movies, which are basically just some crappy credits and then trimmed footage. In my last movie I spent about an hour putting it together, thinking it didn't really matter, and then over 10,000 people downloaded it. lol

I've stuck with my belief that highly edited PvP is lame, so most of the stuff I played with was the intro. I don't edit out my mistakes, obviously, as you'll see me make some here, and I don't generally show any concern for how my play looks. Movies of people just showing clips of them dominating opponents for various reasons are entertaining to some, but that's not really my style.

All in all, I believe we fought 16 times. Of those I think I won 10, although one was due to trying to fight without his divine shield cooldown. I also forgot to fraps a few of them, but I had 12 fights to choose from for this, and I showed the ones that were interesting, in my opinion.

I think the mage vs. paladin solo matchup is still skewed towards mages, at least as a fire spec, which I am in this video. If I were frost it would be a different fight, although I'm not sure if it would be easier or harder for me. The fight is pretty even if both players have all their cooldowns, but if the paladin doesn't have his bubble it becomes very one-sided.

On another note, I haven't run into any other paladin on the beta realms who gave me any trouble, so I'd definately like to find somebody else who is good to fight and see how it goes. :)

This was all filmed about 2 weeks ago, before they nerfed crusader strike. I would have released it sooner, but it took me a while to learn how to edit this, and I got caught up with a lot of schoolwork.

Anyways, like I said, I hope you enjoy it. I'm sure some people will think it's lame, others will really like it, as that's the nature of these things. Either way it's all done for fun. =)
