When I learned about the uldaman trick I couldn't wait to try it out.
But It was harder than I thought, and not very reliable to get shards.



So I tried to do something similar that was easier for a mage, and it turned out great!
This is a very fast and easy way of making money for mages with enchanting.

100% chance of getting a Large glowing shard (3g)
100% chance of getting a Robe of Doan/Mantle of doan
that gives additionally 25% chance of getting 1 or 2 Greater Mystic Essence (1g)

One run can be done in about 3 minutes as showed in this clip!

Remember if its hard to sell these at AH, try enchanting +3/+5 its very easy to find low level players who want these enchants
